How do you know this? Do yo have the technical understanding of how this will or won't work? or, are you simply looking at the numbers and not know what your talking about? How do you know that hardcore games can't/won't be using it? Or are you simply trying to downplay Natal as a Wii wanna be-which honestly is more along the lines of Sony's approach.

It just kills some of you to think that Microsoft could have something really, really big in their hands doesn't it? Just wait un...

Software solutions can be just as effective and more importantly cheaper than a hardware solution. Hardware can only go so far where as software can constantly be updated to push said hardware in ways not thought of before. You make a valid point, I just disagree considering the current state of technology and what we can do.

Because you've played it right?

You say that it can't be done sub $400's. That's not true at all, try 1/2 of that. Need proof, how about MIT graduate Pranav Mistry who has created technology that deals in the same circles. Here, educate yourself:

A Sony fanboy.

Since most of you obviously fail too realize that MS is a software company that knows it's own tech better than what your speculations make you believe, I'll point out several things in the article that will help make you seem less stupid.

"The chip, which was responsible for processing information for the Natal's 'bone system,' has been removed in favour of a software solution."

"...the change doesn't have an effect on the ...

Graphics are a part of what makes a game great, stop acting like it's the be all end all of everything in the gaming universe. You can have the best graphics in the freaking world, but if your game sucks then it's a good looking game that sucks. Nothing more, nothing less.

Take the best looking platformer for example, let's say the new Ratchet and Clank. It may look awesome-and although I don't care for it-it's a good game. Now, you compare that too Super Mario Galaxy and tell me...

Heavenly Sword, I'm playing it right now and it's still my favorite PS3 game. I really hope it get's a sequel. Definitely one of the most underrated games ever. It still has better facial animations-displays of emotion-of any game out.

Are made by the developers. Enough with the elitist b.s. that you can only make quality games on the PS3. Good developers make good games PERIOD.

Anyway, I can't wait for Heavy Rain.

Of the articles that get approved on here are garbage. If this had been against the 360 it would be hotter than hell with most of you complaining now lapping it up.

PrinceJohnny said it best on this one.

I love Killzone2 because it truly is a unique game and the best shooter on PS3 hands down. It seems a lot of what the author wants makes it more of a "me too" game and I don't want that.

No vehicles and leave the player count the same. More doesn't mean better. I did a agree with a more fleshed out story. I went online and read the background and it's really good. It's hard to say who is good and who is bad in this one, both sides are at fault.

The only thi...

So rather than actually address my points we have one guy who comments on my post but admits he didn't read it. We have another who gives the definition of the word exclusive and several others who cry foul and then proceed to to say that I'm a "M$" fanboy who lives in some alternate reality. And least I forget the guy who feels I'm discounting the PC as a platform. Notice the difference between the words console and platform, something that I did go into.

You may feel ...

So your making the assumption that Microsoft has been resting on it's laurels, that it has nothing to show, nothing to offer? I find that hard if not impossible too believe.

Sony has what appears to be, some great games coming out this year. Not until we actually play them will we know for sure. When you say "new genres" what are you referring to? Heavy Rain, Mod Nation Racers, and Last Guardian while certainly clever and innovative it seems but they aren't new genres. ...

If you look at it historically, $200 is absolutely the sweet spot. The 360 not flying off of the shelves is the exception to that rule. Look at the PS2 for example. The Wii as well.

It's definably more affordable for the average consumer but not the historical "sweet spot".

This news I find very interesting because this has serious future potential. With Sony having it's expertise and notoriety in overall electronics I wonder what kinda hybrid PS3 products we could see? Special Bravia sets with built in PS3 ability? Or perhaps a modified Sony "Home" package that has everything you need to enjoy blu-ray gaming and movies at one pre-package...

That Microsoft has been busy getting their games ready for the future. While not as good a year as has been the past for the 360, it was still a great year so what's the big deal? I ended up buying a ton of PS3 games in 09 but more so on my 360? Does that qualify or diminish anything? I would say not. I'd say it was a great year for gaming period.

I would also say that much like Sony had it's...incubation period getting their heavy hitters ready for release this year in a torrent...

I understand the premise of the argument clearly enough, it's not like it hasn't been a chanted mantra of Sony fanboys the world over. The question is, how is it not a system exclusive?

As much as some of you would like to make it seem that the 360 has no exclusive games in route it simply isn't the case. The PC has always been counted separate from consoles and when one is speaking on system exclusives, it has always been in reference to what system i.e., console that particular...

I found a recent set of console comparison articles to be very interesting in terms of understanding what they can do from a technical standpoint, here's a link:

Don't let the title fool you, it's actually nicely done. Particularly the discussion on the actual hardware. Very interesting stuff.

@remember,

I will agree with you that Heavenly Sword (probably my favorite PS3 title so far) was severely underrated. This is mainly for it's technical achievements as far as facial animations and the like, which are still the best to date imo. However, other than that, with the exception of KZ2 and UC2, I haven't played anything on the PS3 that was leaps above what can be found on the 360 or the pc. I played the MAG beta and while I applaud the effort, I wasn't impressed in any ...
